This is just a quick Idea and would only really work for Tonight.

Well this is a good site to watch the Big David Haye vs Derreck Chisora Fight Tonight Saturday July 14th.

www.vipbox.tv

I Hope all of you here at OB will be watching it .

There is a text box on this site so you can talk to other fans whilst watching the fight, as is on all other streaming video fight sites.

I will be shouting the OB website on it whilst the fight is going on, before it and after it. I think and hope this will bring a few fellow boxing fans to the site. I think its a good idea and hope a few others will join in. If not on this website then another and if not on this fight then again, another.

Great Idea. I will do my best too.

I haven't watched the fight yet, looking for a place to stream as we speak. I am predicting a Haye ko

Watched the fight. It was a good heavyweight fight. Not like this boring brother-shit we are forced to watch over and over again..

Guys Just another quick Idea ive had to get some people to OB.

Well you know Youtube videos have the two most highly rated comments under each video from people giving it a 'thumbs up'. Well if 1 of those comments had this website in it on a video that had over 100,000 views and increasing every day, it would be sure to get many people to OB.

It would also be targetting the type of people who would play OB i.e Boxing Fans.. and people who use the internet.

Obviously it would be best to do it on a boxing video.

You need a Youtube account to 'thumb up' the comments, but if we all did it on the same comment it would be sure to be in the top 2 highly rated comments on the video especially if the current top two haven't got such a high amount of 'thumbs up'. It would be wise to choose the videos on which to do it on carefully.

Also i think this thread should be a place to post Links to these videos for us all to do it. What do you think?

Here is a quick example of one I have done.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVMf9fmZp7k

'our' comment is the 2nd highest rated for that video. Thumb it up!

Try running an ad on the right sidebar of Facebook, they're pretty cheap and work well for things like games in my experience.

In your ads targeting options, target only males that have added boxing games in their list of interests. For exemple there is 38 200 male facebook accounts interested in "Fight night round 4" of age 18-25 in the USA right now.

Put a catchy picture of Muhammad Ali or Mike Tyson in there and try a catchy title with some text like this:

Better than Fight Night?
Free online boxing has a better gameplay than Fight Night. Come try it!

Make sure to use CPM (cost per 1000) as your advertising option and not CPC (cost per click), it ends much cheaper for well targeted ads.

I'm guessing it would end up costing somewhere around 0.15$ to 0.30$ per click (i'm getting as low as 0.05$ for some campaigns in France but it's less competitive there).

Of course its a good idea. But nice how you ignore Fierce' Posting...his idea is not bad either and its for free (not half as good as the facebook-ad..but still good).

Yeah it's not bad... Will be removed sometimes as it's seen as spam by Youtube but who cares, if you have the accounts ready it only takes a few minutes to do.

The only change i'd suggest is to go specifically for boxing game videos instead of real boxing videos, you'll have a better chance there. For example Fight Night reviews.

Thanks Titan I appreciate that, and thanks Fatny too; I will look into that and those type of videos and check them out. Didn't think it was that much better an idea titan! but your right the facebook idea is a better one etc. The two ideas are different in that the Facebook idea is a Serious one that Mikkel could consider and should consider if he really wants to do something about the game. It also costs money as you said which is a big difference. My one is an option merely for us players to do something to help towards getting people to OB, and is easy, ive pretty much just written it out anyway.

The other thing is Fatny, I was kinda trying to aim at getting the maximum views to the website. Videos for boxing games will not get that many views and it will take time for them to increase. Other type of videos about boxing for example, some get hundreds of thousands of views in a few months... Your right about it being spam and possibly being taken down though.. :/ .. think we have the same attitude? .. every little helps? lol

These plans are all great and so on.

BUT dont forget to advertise OB on a personal level..
like telling your fiiends..
posting it on every forum you get your hands on..
posting it on your facebook or other social network.

ect.

FIRST RULE OF THE FIGHT CLUB IS... YOU NEED TO TELL EVERYONE ABOUT THE FIGHT CLUB.

SECOND RULE OF THE FIGHT CLUB IS... YOU NEED TO TELL EVERYONE ABOUT THE FIGHT CLUB.

Well really, thanks, but I dont think the idea is really good..spamming people while they are watching a fight is not the way to go, it's just annoying.
Tell people about the game where people know you, forum, blogs etc where you are WELL KNOWN. That is permitted and will not be seen as spam.
Making an account a new place and start talking about OB, WILL be seen as spam and will get you banned. And worse, people will think OB is some kind of spam site.
